The Sausalito Marin City School District Board of Trustees is seeking a qualified and committed member to fill a current vacancy on the Board.
This is an exciting opportunity to serve our students, staff, and community while helping guide the direction of the district. The Board is looking for individuals who are thoughtful, collaborative, and committed to student success.

- Reside within district boundaries
- Not legally disqualified from holding civil office

- Review materials and make informed decisions in the best interest of all students
- Uphold transparency, ethics, and accountability in public service

- Interviews: Conducted during a public Board meeting in August
- Appointment: Expected by August 13, 2026 during the public Board meeting

The Sausalito Marin City School District is beginning the search for our next Interim Superintendent, and we believe the best decisions are made together. Your voice — as a parent, educator, staff member, community partner, or community member — matters in shaping what kind of leader will serve our students well.
We invite you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts through our community survey. ( English and Spanish survey links provided below.)What qualities matter most to you in a superintendent? What should this leader understand about our schools, our students, and our community? Your input will directly inform the Board's search process and the questions we ask candidates.

Additionally, the district's search consultant plans to hold a series of "listening sessions" during the first week of school. Information on the dates and times will be posted soon.
