Community Alert! Important Safety Measure
Dear Marin County parents, students, teachers, school staff and neighbors,
As many are aware, through social media and other media outlets, there have been reports across the country of adults dressing as clowns lurking in areas where young people frequent. As of today, there has been a threat involving a creepy clown that has emerged in our community that we take seriously. Those involved in learning about the threat responded exactly as we would want, by contacting local law enforcement.
While the standard needs to be reasonable and responsible behavior, where common sense prevails, given the current environment, we are recommending that our school communities forgo wearing any clown costumes or masks during the Halloween season this year. If you become of aware of any suspicious behavior or specific threats please alert local law enforcement immediately.
Thank you for all that you do every day to support student learning and success, and your commitment to the safety of our young people and our community!

Members of the Sausalito Marin City School District Community,
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!
It is such an honor to have been selected as the new Superintendent of the Sausalito Marin City School District. I have been in education for 20 years, and have served as a Teacher (Pre-K through High School), Trainer, Principal and Superintendent. For the last seven years, I have served as the Superintendent in a K-8 district with 2,200 students. Throughout that time, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of student populations, and look forward to the diversity of our district.
