About Unification

The Sausalito Marin City School District is working together with Willow Creek Academy, a public charter school, to combine Willow Creek and the district's Bayside MLK, Jr. Academy into a single, unified school. The goal of the process is to create a world-class school with top-tier academics that serves all students within the district's enrollment boundaries and overcomes the educational challenges in our community.

A representative group of teachers, staff, parents and community members from both Bayside MLK and WCA schools are leading the hiring process of the Co-Principals for the new unified school. Three candidates have made it to the final round of interviews. An important part of this process is to create an opportunity for the broader group of teachers, staff, parents and community members to meet the candidates.

On Monday, May 24 from 6:00 to 7:50 p.m., there will be a Co-Principal Candidate Meet and Greet that will be held via Zoom. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend and engage in Q&A with our final candidates.
