2024 Summer Learning Opportunities

During the 2024 summer program, SMCSD will be offering two separate learning opportunities. 
  • Students who qualify for Free and Reduced Price Meals or are homeless or foster youth can attend our Summer Program with Bridge the Gap.
  • Students whose IEP includes "Extended School Year" provisions can attend our ESY Summer Intersession.

Summer program with BTG

Summer Program serves 120 students at the Phillips Campus. Our summer program is broken into two sessions. The morning session is  Academics with a certificated teacher with a focus on reading intervention, phonics and more. During the afternoon session, we focus on enrichment activities with our students. Students have opinions to choose from, such as art, _______. 
 
Fridays are "Fun Fridays" where school wide events and field trips will take place. Our students will participate in local field trips planned to locations like Cal Skates, Muir Woods, Bay Area Discovery Museum, and swimming.

    • A: Summer Program is held at the Phillips Campus, 200 Phillips Dr. Marin City.
  • Q:  What are the Summer Intersession program hours each day?
    • A:  8:30-5:30 pm.
  • Q: How do I apply?
    • Registration is open and families can apply by using this link.
  • Q:  Does my child need to stay for the entire day?  What if we have plans to travel for part of the time the program runs?
    • A:  We encourage students to participate for the full day if able but understand if you have other commitments.  Early pick-up can be arranged with the program coordinator.
